Wednesday: Went almost 2 miles on the treadmill running the RIGHT way and I think my legs have gone on strike… went 2 miles on the elliptical and then walked a lot to try and not cry.

Activity: Went to the gym and did Lat Pulldowns, Reverse Crunches, Seated Rows, Wrist Curls, Guillotine Press, Shrugs, Military Press, Front Raises, Back Extensions, Curls and the Abdomen Machine.  Did some rope jumping between every 2 sets.

Food: Had some egg for breakfast, snacked on some jerky.  Dinner was some chicken breast and whole wheat bread.

Activity: Went to the gym and did the Tim Glover Special, Close-Grip Bench, Tricep Pushdowns, Curls, Upright Rows, Crunches, Incline Bench Press, Back Extension, Leg Press, Calf Press, Lateral Raises and the Abdomen Machine.

Food: Had eggs for breakfast, will snack on some jerky and will have some chicken breast sandwiches (maybe only one) for dinner.  Whole wheat bread ftw!

Wednesday: Went swimming for about an hour.  For 20 minutes I just ran back and forth in the water, 20 minutes I spent just working on my arms, and the last 20 minutes I played with my kids.  Then I went to the gym and ran 1 mile on the treadmill before my knee started giving me problems.  Did 2 miles on the elliptical @ L11 and finished up with 5 minutes of jumping rope.

Activity: Went to the gym and did Lat Pulldowns, Reverse Crunches, Seated Rows, Wrist Curls, Guillotine Press, Shrugs, Military Press, Front Raises, Back Extensions, Curls and the Abdomen Machine.  Did some rope jumping for 30 seconds between every two sets of workouts.  I would have been able to do it the whole time but the last three sets I skipped it because I was going to be late for work.

Food: Had some egg for breakfast, snacked on some jerky.  Dinner is going to be some turkey mignon wrapped in bacon… VERY low in calories, fat and carbs, surprisingly low.  They smell good, so let’s hope they taste good.

Monday: Went 5 miles on the elliptical in ~37min. @ L10. Also went swimming for an hour today.

Current Weight: 277 pounds

Loss/Gain: -5… 100 total pounds gone!

Activity:  Went to the gym and did 3×10 bench press (up to 170 pounds).  Then did Incline Twisting Sit-Ups, Dumbbell Flies, Dumbbell Pullovers, Dips, Push-Ups, Bent Over Rows, Pull Ups, Curls, Leg Press, Calf Press and the Abdomen Machine.  Over the weekend I did TurboJam Cardio on Friday, half that routine on Saturday.  Got through 2/3rds of my workout with jumping rope between the two sets.  Mondays are the toughest workout for me so I am not surprised.

Food: Ate a couple hard-boiled eggs, gonna have some jerky for a snack.  My wife and kids made me some homemade baked chicken strips and a delicious homemade breaded fish fillet.

Food: Had eggs for breakfast, some delicious beef, green pepper and onion stirfry for dinner, and snacking on some jerky.  How ironic, same thing I ate a week ago…

Activity: Played basketball for a bit in the afternoon.  Then went to the gym and did Lat Pulldowns, Reverse Crunches, Seated Rows, Wrist Curls, Guillotine Press, Shrugs, Military Press, Front Raises, Back Extensions, Curls and the Abdomen Machine.  Did some rope jumping for 30 seconds between every two sets of workouts which – today – I was able to do the entire workout.

Food: Had some egg for breakfast, snacked on some jerky.  Dinner was some ham that wasn’t very good, so I won’t be eating THAT ham again.

Monday: Went 5 miles on the elliptical in ~38 min. @ L8

Activity:  Went to the gym and did 3×10 bench press (up to 170 pounds).  Then did Incline Twisting Sit-Ups, Dumbbell Flies, Dumbbell Pullovers, Dips, Push-Ups, Bent Over Rows, Pull Ups, Curls, Leg Press, Calf Press and the Abdomen Machine.  Over the weekend I did TurboJam Cardio on Friday, half that routine on Saturday and played some basketball.  Started adding 30 seconds of jumping rope between every two sets of lifting.  I was only able to complete it for half the workout today.

Food: Ate some “Slaughtered Eggs” for breakfast, snacked on some jerky (still love the stuff), and having some ham and beef for dinner.

Activity:  Went to the gym and did 3×10 bench press (up to 170 pounds).  Then did Incline Twisting Sit-Ups, Dumbbell Flies, Dumbbell Pullovers, Dips, Push-Ups, Bent Over Rows, Pull Ups, Curls, Leg Press, Calf Press and the Abdomen Machine.  Over the weekend I did TurboJam Cardio on Friday, TurboJam Ab Routine on Saturday and played some basketball.

Food: Ate some “Slaughtered Eggs” for breakfast, snacked on some jerky (love the stuff), and having a jalapeno chicken stirfry for dinner.

Activity:  Went to the gym and did 3×10 bench press (up to 165 pounds).  Then did Incline Twisting Sit-Ups, Dumbbell Flies, Dumbbell Pullovers, Dips, Push-Ups, Bent Over Rows, Pull Ups, Back Extensions, Leg Press, Calf Press and the Abdomen Machine.  Over the weekend I did TurboJam on both days and played some basketball.

Food: Had a much better week!  Anyway, for breakfast I had 2 eggs.  Snacked on some peppered jerky.  And having some delicious pork roast for dinner.

Food: A little frustrated with this week’s results so I am trying to eat even better.  Had 2 eggs with some chicken earlier, some celery for a snack, and having a nice beef stirfry for dinner.

Food: Had a little bit of beef earlier and made a super-spicy chicken stirfry for dinner.  Having some tuna for a snack.  Also had a couple spicy hotwings but they weren’t fried 🙂

Activity:  Went to the gym and did 5:3:1 bench press (up to 295 pounds).  Then did Incline Twisting Sit-Ups, Dumbbell Flies, Dumbbell Pullovers, Dips, Push-Ups, Bent Over Rows, Pull Ups, Back Extensions, Leg Press, Calf Press and the Abdomen Machine.  As you can see, I’ve altered and added to my routine.

Food: Had a couple eggs earlier and then some beef stirfry for dinner.  Snacked on some pink salmon…mmm.

Food: Had some celery ‘n’ cream cheese and eating some steak with mushrooms later.

Wednesday: Went 4 miles on the elliptical then a 1/2 mile stroll on the treadmill to cool down.

Food: Had some chicken earlier (bonless skinless and boiled), then some celery for a snack.  Having some pork roast for dinner.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 5:3:1 bench presses (up to 300 pounds, I failed at 305 and tried to kill myself).  Then did 3×10 curls, dumbell lat presses, rows, chest presses, the Tim Glover Special (new name for it), leg presses, calf presses, crunches and tricep presses.

Food: Had a whole wheat rollup with ham and having some veggies ‘n’ chicken later on.

Activity: I didn’t get to the gym as I had the day off but I did do Tae Bo and then walked for 2 miles.

Food: A couple eggs for breakfast and some pork later on in the day.

Monday: Went 2 miles on the elliptical and played tennis!

Food: Had some chicken earlier and then some beef ‘n’ beans later on.

Monday: Went 2 miles on the elliptical.  Also ran around a LOT with my kids.  First time I’ve been able to do that in a very long time, it was great.

Then did 3X10 of curls, lat pulldowns, incline benchpress, tricep extensions, leg presses, calve raises, chest presses and bent-over rows.  I decided for the time being I am going to do more lifting on these days and run on the off days.  I need to give my muscles a nice shock, which I think I did today.
Food: Lots of chicken today!  Also having some tater tots… horrible of me, I know 😦

Monday: Had to go to a meeting early for work so did some TaeBo!

Activity: Went to the gym and did 5:3:1 bench presses (up to 280(!) pounds).  Then did 3×10 curls, dumbell lat presses, rows and tricep presses.  Then I did 2.45 mile on the elliptical machine/treadmill.  Glad to be going back down… even if slowly.
Food: Whole wheat sandwich with ham and some chicken ‘n’ tortillas.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 3×10 bench presses (up to 165 pounds).  Then did 3×10 curls, barbell lat presses, leg presses (and already maxed out the machine!) and dips.  Then I did 1 mi./1 mi./2 mi. on the elliptical/treadmill/bicycle.
Food: Had a whole wheat ham sandwich earlier, then a whole wheat meatball sandwich for dinner.

Wednesday: Went 2 miles on the elliptical machine.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 3×5 bench presses (up to 215 pounds). Then did 3X10 of curls, lat pulldowns, incline benchpress and tricep extensions. Then did 1 mi./1 mi./2 mi. on the elliptical machine/treadmill/bicycle.
Food: Had a bit of steak with some corn earlier and had some brown rice ‘n’ chicken.

Monday: Went 1.25 miles on the elliptical machine and 1.6 miles on the bike.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 5:3:1 bench presses (up to 265 pounds).  Then did 3×10 curls, dumbell lat presses, rows and tricep presses.  Then I did 2.25 mile on the elliptical machine.  Good news is that my extended woosiness only gained me 1 pound.  Bad news is that I gained 1 pound.
Food: Had some steak with potatoes and sauteed vegetables.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 5:3:1 bench presses (up to 280 pounds).  Then did 3×10 curls, dumbell lat presses, rows and tricep presses.  Then I did 1 mile on the elliptical machine because I feel like crap.  Not sure if it’s allergies or the start of a cold, but my lungs hurt and head is throbbing.  I may skip tomorrow’s run.
Food: Had a whole wheat chicken sandwich earlier, and some grilled chicken for dinner (LOVE chicken).  Snacking on some wheat crackers, but they’re a little too salty.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 3×10 bench presses (up to 175 pounds).  Then did 3×10 curls, barbell lat presses, crunches and dips.  Then I did 3.9 miles on the elliptical machine.  Still loving it.
Food: Had a jalapeno cheese whole wheat bread with chicken breast sandwich.  Will have some whole wheat buns ‘n’ burgers later on.  Snacking on popcorn.

Wednesday: Went 2.85 miles on the elliptical machine.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 3×5 bench presses (up to 215 pounds). Then did 3X10 of curls, lat pulldowns, incline benchpress and tricep extensions. Then did 4 miles on the elliptical machine.
Food: Had a whole wheat chicken sandwich earlier.  Having some more whole wheat noodles with chicken, zuchinni and other stuff for dinner.  Snacked on some peanuts and will have some popcorn later.

Monday: Went 2.2 miles on the elliptical machine.  That thing TEARS my legs up!  I love it.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 5:3:1 bench presses (up to 270 pounds).  Then did 3×10 curls, dumbell lat presses, rows and tricep presses.  Then I did 3.1 miles on the elliptical machine.  I’ve been liking the elliptical machine.  I don’t feel the impact but my legs get a much better workout.
Food: Had a whole wheat sandwich with some chicken.  For dinner I will be having some whole wheat noodles with chicken, chili peppers, zucchini and peanuts.  Snacking on some popcorn or multi-grain Pringles.  Not sure which.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 3×10 bench presses (up to 180 pounds).  Then did 3×10 curls, barbell lat presses, crunches and dips.  Then I did 1.15 miles on the treadmill and 1.15 miles on the elliptical machine.  Not sure which is better to do.  I feel like I get more of a workout on the treadmill, but I don’t “hurt” as much using the elliptical machine.  May have to experiment.
Food: Had a whole wheat sandwich with some chicken.  For dinner I’m having some thin-crust chicken/garlic pizza.  Snacking on multi-grain Pringles.

Wednesday: Went 2 miles on the treadmill.

Food: I had some sandwiches made with whole wheat bread and chicken.  Had some popcorn for a snack.

Monday: Went 1.9 miles on the treadmill.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 5:3:1 bench presses (up to 270 pounds – I failed at 275 twice, scared to attempt much more for now.  I need a partner!).  Then I did 3X10 of curls, rows, dumbell lat presses and tricep presses. Finished up with 2.5 miles on the treadmill.
Food: Had some onion-pork ribs, some whole wheat jalapeno cheese Flavel Bread, and some Kashi crackers.  Lots of water and some diet soda.

Activity: I did 3X10 bench press (up to 175 pounds).  Then I did 3X10 curls, crunches, dips and lat presses.  Then I got on the treadmill for 2.1 miles.  My arms and butt (woot!) are sore, but a good sore.
Food: I had some Flavel Bread and some whole wheat pasta with chicken and chili peppers.

Wednesday: Went for 2.1 miles on the treadmill.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 3×5 bench presses (up to 210 pounds). Then did 3X10 of curls, lat pulldowns, incline benchpress and tricep extensions. Then did 2.8 miles on the treadmill.
Food: I had a strange day today so didn’t get a chance to eat anything.  Going to eat some low-fat popcorn for a snack and then some steak ‘n’ egg for dinner with green beans… the best bean around.

Monday: Went 1.7 miles on the treadmill.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 5:3:1 bench presses (up to 280 pounds – I guess we’ll keep going until I get hurt).  Then I did 3X10 of curls, rows, dumbell lat presses and tricep presses. Finished up with 3.1 miles on the treadmill.
Food: Had some meatloaf, mashed potatoes and broccoli with cauliflower.  Kashi crackers are keeping me company.

Activity: I did 3X10 bench press (up to 170 pounds).  Then I did 3X10 curls, bicycle crunches, dips and lat presses.  Then I got on the treadmill for 3 miles.  Still was a little sick, but pressing on!
Food: I don’t remember what I ate, but I know I had lots of whole wheat stuff… teach me to update faster.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 3×5 bench presses (up to 205 pounds). Then did 3X10 of curls, lat pulldowns, incline benchpress and tricep extensions. Then did 2.2 miles on the treadmill.  Still not feeling very good but I was glad to get to the gym.
Food: Haven’t been hungry with being sick, but I had some Kashi crackers and some great Flavel Bread.  Also made myself a WW pizza.  We’ll see if I eat it.

Tuesday: Sick, making it up on Wednesday.  Being sick sucks!

Monday: Went 2.45 miles.

Current Weight: 332 pounds
Loss/Gain: -1
Activity: Went to the gym and did 5:3:1 bench presses (up to 275 pounds – not sure I want to try much more without a spotter).  Then I did 3X10 of curls, rows, dumbell lat presses and tricep presses. Finished up with 2.75 miles on the treadmill.
Food: Had more WW noodles with shrimp and red peppers.  Also had some Flavel Bread… yum!

2-11-2010

Activity: I did 3X10 bench press (up to 170 pounds).  Then I did 3X10 curls, bicycle crunches, dips and lat presses.  Then I got on the treadmill for 1.5 miles.  Didn’t get to run as much because I was running late (not my fault).
Food: I had some WW noodles with cabbage during the day.  Chowing on some more WW noodles but with alfredo sauce and chicken.  Snacking on some Kashi crackers.

Wednesday: Went 2.9 miles.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 3×5 bench presses (up to 205 pounds). Then did 3X10 of curls, lat pulldowns, incline benchpress and tricep extensions. Then did 2.9 miles on the treadmill.  Not getting nearly as tired as I used to.
Food: I had some leftover WW pizza from yesterday, and will have some chicken with WW noodles later today.  Also enjoying some multi-grain Pringles.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 5:3:1 bench presses (up to 265 pounds).  Then did 3X10 of curls, rows, dumbell lat presses and tricep presses. Then did 2.4 miles on the treadmill.  Really hate those stagnant weeks.  Even though I feel I am eating okay (maybe not PERFECTLY, but come on) I didn’t lose any.  Oh well, it happens!
Food: Had some homemade WW pizza with turkey pepperoni, lots of veggies, and some hamburger.  Was delicious as usual.

I took the day off so I will make this up on Monday and go back to the normal days.  That is what sucks about the gym being at work.

Activity: I did 3X10 bench press (up to 165 pounds).  Then I did 3X10 curls, bicycle crunches, dips and lat presses.  Then I got on the treadmill for 2.5 miles.
Food: I had a WW turkey sandwich earlier, then a couple tacos with whole grain shells.  For dinner I had some delicious homemade beef & broccoli.

Wednesday: Went 1.5 miles.

Activity: I decided to split my workout between two buildings.  The new gym in one of our buildings has a couple machines (including the awesome bench press) that are just so much better, but they have no TV for the treadmills and no scale.  So I will use the new gym for the lifting and my old gym to run/weigh.  I did 3×5 bench presses (up to215 pounds).  Then I did 3X10 of curls, incline press, lat pulldowns and tricep extensions. Then I did 2.45 miles on the treadmill.
Food: I had some steak and Multi-grain rolls earlier.  Finished up the day with some WW pizza.  Snacked on Wasa crackers with some mozzarella cheese.

Monday: Went for 2 miles.

Current Weight: 333 pounds
Loss/Gain: -4
Activity: Went to the gym and did 5:3:1 bench presses (up to 255 pounds).  I used a different machine that makes you do it properly and it feels amazing.  Then did 3X10 of curls, rows, dumbell lat presses and tricep presses. Finished up with 3 miles on the treadmill.  Woohoo!
Food: Had a Sloppy Joe on WW bread.  Snacked on some cheese earlier in the day.  Eating some homemade WW noodle stir-fry with chicken, peanuts, and Kung Pao sauce.  My wife rocks.  And of course, the Wasa crackers which I’ve grown fond of.

1-28-2010

Activity: I discovered another building we use at work had a “better” gym, so I went to it.  Sadly, after taking 10 minutes to find it since everyone thought I was a terrorist with a gym bag, I discovered it was no better than the gym I use in my building.  So I didn’t get quite as much done today.  I did do 3×10 bench presses (up to 165 pounds) and 3X10 of curls. Then did 2.15 miles on the treadmill.
Food: Had some chicken earlier, and will be having some WW pizza.  I could live off that stuff if it wasn’t so expensive to make.  Still need to learn how to make a homemade crust.  And Wasa bread is slowly disappearing.  Strangely, I almost feel better eating this stuff.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 3×5 bench presses (up to 215 pounds). Then did 3X10 of curls, lat pulldowns, close-grip presses and tricep extensions. Then did 2 miles on the treadmill.  Would have done more but was a bit late hitting the gym.
Food: Had a whole wheat turkey sandwich and will have another for dinner.  I was hoping for some delicious (and low carb) pork roast, but it didn’t get done in time.  I will probably have it tomorrow.  Snacking on the Wasa which actually isn’t too bad.  Not much of a flavor, but satisfying enough.  May have to get some natural peanut butter or something to put on it.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 5:3:1 bench presses (up to 245 pounds). Then did 3X10 of curls, rows, dumbell lat presses and tricep presses. Finished up with 2.5 miles on the treadmill.  I hate “stagnant” weeks when I feel like I’ve lost no weight, but it happens, especially when you “cheat” a little.
Food: Cheated a bit and had a little pizza.  It was my daughter’s birthday, so I decided it wouldn’t kill me.  Instead of my normal 4 slices, though, I kept it to 2.  Finishing up the day with a chicken sandwich on WW.  Snacks will be these strange crackers I found called Wasa – Multi Grain Crispbread.  Haven’t tasted them yet, here’s hoping the 3 packages I bought won’t go to waste.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 3×10 bench presses (up to 165 pounds). Then did 3X10 of curls, butterfly presses, bicycle crunches and dumbell tricep extensions. Then did2.5 miles on the treadmill.
Food: Had a chicken sandwich on WW bread, then some WW pizza.  My wife makes the best WW pizza, just need to get her to make homemade crust.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 3×5 bench presses (up to 205 pounds). Then did 3X10 of curls, lat pulldowns, close-grip presses and tricep extensions. Then did another 1.4 miles on the treadmill.
Food: Whole wheat is still the bomb. Had a turkey sandwich earlier and having some chicken sandwiches for lunch/dinner. South Beach ranch dressing helps flavor it up a little.

Activity: Went to the gym and did 5:3:1 bench presses (up to 240 pounds). Then did 3X10 of curls, rows, dumbell lat presses and tricep presses. Finished up with 1.4 miles on the treadmill.  Feel great!
Food: Loving the whole wheat tortilla sandwiches. I had one for breakfast (WW tortilla, chicken breast, mozzarella cheese) and 2 for lunch. For dinner I am going to have a homemade chicken ranch wrap with homemade chicken strips, WW tortillas and some South Beach ranch dressing.
